Elizabeth Dowell’s  Trust

Is a warm and friendly Almshouse based in Dowell's Close in the heart of Moseley. Established in the late 1960s, the Close has a mixture of 32 flats for single men, women or couples aged 55 or over.

The Almshouse is governed by a Board of Trustees who appoint a full time manager to maintain the site and liaise with outside contractors, Trustees and residents. It is expected that all residents live independently, organising and paying for care and support to a third party if they need it.

Despite the suburban location, Dowell's Close, has substantial maintained gardens for residents to enjoy.
